Abbotsford police arrest woman in connection with 2018 stabbing

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of 38-year-old man in Abbotsford last year.

The crime happened on April 29, 2018.

Abbotsford police, responding to a report of an injured man, discovered man slumped over in his vehicle in the 2200 block of Clearbrook Road.

The man was treated in hospital for stab wounds.

Police said the two parties to the incident were known to each other, and the attack is believed to have been targeted.

Sheleena Bott, an Abbotsford resident, was arrested on Thursday and charged with aggravated assault.

At the time of her arrest, Bott had two outstanding Surrey RCMP warrants for additional assault charges, including aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, and assault with a weapon.

She remains in custody pending her next court appearance.
