Alert downgraded as firefighters contain Warwick bushfire

Forty career and volunteer firefighters have contained a bushfire that was threatening homes and lives in Perth’s northern suburbs on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire started near the intersection of Lloyd Drive and Warwick Road, Warwick, just after 3pm.

A watch and act alert has been downgraded to an advice for people bounded by Wanneroo Road, Beach Road, Lloyd Drive and Warwick Road, Warwick.

There has been about two hectares burnt and the cause of the fire is unknown.
