The bureau said it would follow up with the pilot next week.
A post to the Bungendore Rural Fire Service Facebook page just before 2.30pm on Saturday said the crew was on scene at the crash site.
«The pilot got himself out, which looking at the scene is nothing short of a miracle,» the post read.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to Tarago about 11.20am on Saturday after the plane made an emergency landing.
«The aircraft landed in a paddock on a private property on Currandooley Road,» the spokeswoman said.
«The 49-year-old male pilot was taken to Queanbeyan hospital with non-life threatening injuries.»
