The National Anti-Corruption Bureau suspects the people’s deputy from the PPB Yaroslav Dubnevich of stealing UAH 93.2 million of the “Ukrainian Railways” Production Support Center branch. It is reported by the «Ukrainian News» agency, citing sources in the department.
According to the media, being the head of the Rada committee on transport issues, in 2015-2017 Dubnevich organized and created the conditions for the purchase of elements of the track at the expense of “Ukrainian Railways”. The purchase proceeded in violation of the legal procedure and at inflated prices.
Instead of negotiating the procurement procedure, Dubnevich organized an open bidding procedure involving the subsidiaries – “Argo” and “KRT Corporation”, which resulted in losses of UAH 93.278 million.
As specified in NABU, the deputy is suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 27 and Part 5 of Art. 191 («Assignment, embezzlement of property or taking possession of it by abuse of official position») of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier, SKELET-info reported that the Anti-Monopoly Committee had fined LLC “Exposition” and PE “Evroosnova-SM” from the orbit of the Dubnevich brothers for colluding on purchases by “Ukrainian Railways” in 2015-2016.
And before that, the Solomensky District Court of Kiev seized the bank accounts of LLC “Energiya-Novoyavorovsk” Scientific and Production Enterprise, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are Dubnevich brothers.
Prior to this, the detectives from NABU had access to the movement of money in the accounts of Dubnevich. The inspection will be conducted as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings about the possible theft of more than 300 million cubic meters of natural gas by NAK “Naftogaz Ukraine” for a total amount of over UAH 1.4 billion.
